We took a weekend and drove to Southeast Iowa [photos from the cities/towns we visited are at my Flickr site.
Then we went on and stopped at New Salem, Illinois, just north of Springfield. This is a recreation of a town in which Lincoln spent several years before moving to Springfield and law and politics. This image is of a cupboard in one of the houses or stores there.
