All over the city, rain or shine, there are strong [mostly young] men pushing carts up and letting carts down the bridges, moving them places. There’s a certain pattern or rhythm to how they do it, but certainly is hard work. workers

This is close to the view frequently painted by famous artisans of Venice in the 1400-1600’s and shows the bridge between my apartment [on Left] and Campo S.S. Giovanni & Paulo, where Scuola Grande de San Marco & Ospedal is Venice
