Journey Zing

Buenos Aires in winter time

We flew today to Buenos Aires, a flight from Des Moines to Dallas then a 10 hour flight from Dallas to Buenos Aires. Fortunately, I was able to get a solid 6 hours of sleep during the evening, since we arrived at around 8am. Went to our lodging, a B&B in Palermo area [Posada Palermo] which greeted us with a HUGE breakfast [after we’d had something on the flight, so we ended up quite full]. Went to our room, Mark went on a walk around town and I caught up on email [WiFi in the room, which is very nice and convenient]. Our daughter, Kate, met us and we went to a very small museum with a quite modern open building, Museo Xul Solar and looked at Solar’s art [he was an illustrator] and the architecture of the building. Walked a bit more to another museum which apparently was closed for renovations but we were allowed inside to see the central garden area. Unfortunately, today has been a grey and cloudy and cool day so other than tall buildings, busy people and zooming cars and buses, not much exotica to see.

But, here’s a frequent sight:
